We will discuss the Audiovisual Fund at Art Film Fest
It’s a festival tradition that at Art Film Fest, films are not just watched, but are also discussed. The festival's 18th edition will include a discussion on the current state and activities of the Audiovisual Fund. It will take place on Friday at 14:00 in Trenčianske Teplice’s Spa Hall.
The debate participants will include Martin Šmatlák and Tomáš Kamenec from the Audiovisual Fund, signers of the Open Letter to the Audiovisual Fund Mário Homolka and Marek Šulík, and finally Zuzana Mistríková from the Slovak Film and Television Academy along with Marián Urban from the Slovak Audiovisual Producers Association, who have both been involved with the implementation of proposals for the improvement of the Fund’s activities. The discussion will be led by Štefan Hríb, and its main topics will be, among others, applicants’ attempts to obtain grants from the AF’s resources, more transparency in the consideration of applicants' projects and reassessment of the rules concerning the appointment of members to the individual expert committees to avoid a conflict of interests.
