MIDPOINT provides professional script development and film dramaturgy training aimed at narrative film projects. MIDPOINT has been created with the belief that European scripts can compete on the international market if there is a greater support of dramaturgy and script development conceived as a collaborative process in which writers, directors and producers act as creative partners. MIDPOINT was conceived at FAMU Prague (CZ) in partnership with film schools VŠMU Bratislava (SK), PWSFTviT Łódź (PL), UNATC Bucharest (RO), SZFE Budapest (HU), and dffb Berlin (DE).
MIDPOINT Workshops
MIDPOINT main training activity is intended for graduating students and recent graduates. The three-month training programme includes 2 residential workshops and on-line sessions. First residential workshop is traditionally being held within the framework of Art Film Fest IFF (June 16 – 23, 2012).
Workshop for Slovak Film Professionals
For the first time this year, MIDPOINT and CHARACTER - Film Development Association (SK) co-organize script development workshop for Slovak film professionals. Workshop will take place during Art Film Fest IFF June 18 – 21, 2012.
