Václav Vorlíček Presents His Comedies and Fairytales (VV)

Finally the day has come when Art Film Fest's smaller, younger fans and their parents have their own section. After years of calling and searching for such a selection, inspiration came in the form of the birthday jubilee of one of the most popular and renowned Czech directors: Václav Vorlíček – the creator of comedies and fairytales beloved by audiences. He has shot twenty-five feature-length films, many of which are among Czech cinema’s golden collection and have received dozens of awards at festivals and showcases in the Czech Republic and abroad. His films have become an inextricable part of the winter holidays and are always included in the most-watched television programs.

From his own prolific filmography, the master himself has picked three of his most cherished fairytales and three popular comedies as well. Viewers of all ages can also look forward to several well-known stars, who will introduce the films together with the beloved director.
