| Biography | Juraj Lehotský (1975, Bratislava). From 1990-1994, Lehotský studied photography at the School of Art and Design in Bratislava. Later, he studied documentary direction at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. In 2000, after having graduated, he started making documentaries, music videos, advertisements and charity campaign spots. In 2003, he won the Aurel Award for the music video Prvá, (a song by the popular Slovak band, No Name.) Blind Loves is his feature-length debut. His short films include Budeme mať výkony, budeme mať diplomy (Achievements Deserve Certificates, 1996), Pohreb je vlastne premiéra (Funeral Is a Premiere, 1997), and Dvojičky (Twins, 1999), as well as film portraits of Juraj Kukura, Martin Hollý and Milan Lasica made for a television series, Tucet (Dozen). |
