About movie

Finding out where we belong and where we can find happiness and fulfillment is difficult enough for those who can see. How hard must it be then for those less fortunate... In Blind Loves, the filmmakers try to delve deeper into the world of blind people. The film is a sincere, sensitive and emotionally appealing statement that reveals the subjects' most intimate wishes and feelings. The film's four protagonists were born blind. They have created their own unconventional world, often filled with unorthodox and unique images, perceptions and dreams. Director Juraj Lehotský's feature-length debut tries to find beauty and value in the lives of Peter, Miro, Elena and Zuzka - four blind people connected by a single theme - love.

Their views are often simple and pure, and often very funny. They disclose the "unseen dimensions" of happiness's true meaning.

The film was selected for the Quinzaine de Réalisateurs section at the Cannes IFF. It won the Art Cinema Award (The CICAE Award for Art Cinema) there.
